Perched on a wooded ridge in Holt, Missouri, just north of Kansas City, this Artisan Home offers a treetop retreat that redefines modern organic living. From the start, every detail supports that vision. The result is a home that feels as peaceful as its setting, with interiors that are both grounded and elevated. Natural light plays a starring role, shifting throughout the day to reveal new dimensions in texture and form. Meanwhile, large windows frame the treetops like living artwork, strengthening the home’s connection to nature without overwhelming the simplicity of the interior.

From the outside, the architecture is clean and intentional. It embraces the slope of the land and maximizes the views of the surrounding countryside. Once inside, clean lines immediately set the tone for a space that feels luxurious yet understated. Throughout the interior, a gentle tension between light and dark, hard and soft, and refined and relaxed gives this home its distinct voice. In addition, a restrained palette of natural materials such as white oak, stone, and smooth plaster establishes calm and cohesion.

Craftsmanship takes center stage in every room. The sculptural lighting instantly catches your eye, centering each room, adding drama and depth. Light-filled floating stairs hover between levels, offering function and a sense of weightlessness. In the primary suite, a handcrafted custom bed anchors the space with elegance and ease. These custom elements don’t just fill space, they shape it. They reflect the care and precision that went into every corner of the design.
