Designed as a rustic lakeside retreat, this artisan home in Smithville, Missouri, blends texture, warmth, and elevated comfort.
Built for a Colorado couple relocating just north of Kansas City, the home reflects the mountains they left, with Midwestern refinement. Throughout this home, natural stone adds weight and organic beauty, grounding it in a scenic lakeside setting.

Reclaimed trestlewood beams, sourced from a historic bridge in Salt Lake City, span the vaulted ceiling with bold architectural impact. That same trestlewood is used on the exterior siding, creating a cohesive connection between indoors and out.
Wide-plank European oak barnwood floors add warmth, movement, and a rustic-elegant finish underfoot.

At the center, a high-end kitchen blends bold design with everyday functionality.
A custom Roycroft Bronze green hood with brass accents anchors the room with artisanal flair.
Premium appliances, including a 60” Wolf range, support a true chef’s lifestyle.
Brushed granite, Berkshire brass and brushed titanium countertops bring texture, contrast, and quiet luxury through the home.
