Having known Sara for over 10 years, Dani enjoys working at SSID because it feels like working with family. She wears many hats but her true role lies in keeping projects on track and organized, overcoming any roadblocks that come her way. She also spends her time “behind the lens” photographing many projects featured on this website.
Her preferred design aesthetic spans varied styles from modern industrial to eclectic bohemian – so long as each space is bathed in warm natural light.
Hailing from hot and sunny North Texas, you’ll have to head far north to Calgary, Canada, to find Dani where she now lives with her fiancé and her chihuahua, Pepé. In her free time, Dani enjoys camping, binge-watching a good TV show, or better yet, traveling the world.
Dani’s passport fills up quickly as she is always ready for her next overseas or stateside adventure. Some of her favorite destinations are Rome, Italy, for all the pasta and wine, and Encinitas, CA – the most perfect little beach town ever.

Brooke believes in a user-centered design, with a focus on creating spaces that not only look good but are multi-functional and easy to navigate. “I feel that attention to detail in the layout and organization helps ensure the design is both visually appealing and user-friendly.”
Brooke’s preferred design aesthetic is Japandi design; which features tranquil, minimalist, and functional interiors inspired by a modern mashup of Japanese and Scandinavian designs. Keeping with this aesthetic, her favorite project was a recent remodel of a home that featured an Asian-influenced design.
Playing volleyball, and planning gatherings with friends are a few of the ways that Brooke spends her free time away from work. You’ll also catch her hanging out at home in Independence, with her husband and their pups; Gilbert, a Labrador Retriever, and Harvey, a Beagle/Lab mix.
With its gorgeous architecture, decadent foods, and striking urban planning, Paris is one of Brooke’s favorite cities to explore and holds a special place in her heart.
Jena’s design philosophy ensures every detail is considered to create and complete a cohesive story. Just like Charles Eames said, “The details are not the details. They make the design.” Her primary design aesthetic centers around capturing the personality of each homeowner she works with emphasizing transitional and relaxed designs.
A favorite project of Jena’s was working on the Heirloom project where the client was unafraid to incorporate bold colors and patterns. The finished project held a sense of story with the client showcasing her collection of vintage furnishings and objects which made the project more unique, and personal.
In her free time, Jena enjoys spending time outdoors, reading novels, and occasionally picking up a new creative pursuit. She lives with her husband and two adorable children in Leawood, Kansas. During holiday breaks you’ll find them returning to the East Coast to visit family, where they can be found strolling along the boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach.
